DELIVER YOUR GIFTS!!
Because La la lala life goes on...or does it....we have all heard the song right. "Oh bedee,
oh bahdah,la la lalal life goes on...
The plane flew over as all the anxious people looked up! They were looking for it for a
long time. They needed and wanted support. They are hungry for the goods, and stood
for days waiting for it to arrive. Many days, like years full of days. They needed a
solution to this problem.
The pilot however was circling for hours, and would leave and come back, and circle
Crazy? Yesiree it was, when people needed what he had to deliver. They were hungry
and cold and the gifts he brought would be the answer they had been waiting for.
Well, what was the problem? Okay are you ready for this? I am not sure you are ready for this?
Alright I will tell you anyway. The pilot was "self absorbed." Ut oh and uh huh! He was
checking his own abilities to deliver this to the people. How so?
He was looking in the mirror, checking his hair and his teeth. He looked at his pilot license
and sought to get back in touch with how to "land the plane right" as in perfect.
(a good thing for sure)
He was checking his clothes and his shoes. Then he began to question and doubt
his skills. Yikers!
He flew away and took another class, learned something new, bought some new
shiny shoes (the 100th pair) and got his teeth whitened. He took a speech class to
be sure to be able to talk to the people. He did and did and did and did...and did.
Then it got worse, he came back over and dropped leaflets, trying to sell the plane
and not the outcome the people wanted, to be fed!!
What was his main concern? What people WOULD THINK OF HIM. Are you
Nope, it is true. He was worried about what they would think of him, how it would
be received and the outcome of his visit, delivering those gifts.
Oy vay. Right?
Reality? He merely needed to take action to prepare those gifts, fly over and
deliver them to the exact people who needed and wanted them. Never mind
Life goes on. La la lala life goes on, it sure does. Every day, and every minute of
every day is one day closer to the day when you don't get a chance to deliver
your gifts! Sad? You bet your sweet bippy it is sad. That is self absorbed and
selfish. (straight talk peeps)
Meanwhile back at the ranch, the people were waiting for him to arrive yet again.
He is looking in the rear view mirror now, remembering pilot school when the
hatch did not open. So he decided he would not deliver this round of goods
but would wait until he "had it right."
Someday. La la lala life went on....He went to his grave with all his stuff intact,
and his gifts all went with him. "Someday never came."
The people? They wanted what he had and hoped one day he would "drop"
them but he just did not.......what did he not do? He forgot to BE.
You see BEING in that moment, there would have been no concern, no
challenge, no inner struggle, it would have been ease, flow and grace. The outcome?
Oh you can just imagine!
Let's face it, it is a grave fact that the grave awaits us. Morbid? NO! It is quite the
opposite! It is a wake up call, a HUGE one. La la lala life goes on....until it does not.
BE. DO. HAVE.
BE blessed, DO great in service to the world and HAVE all you want too!
